DELOITTE
Founded in 2019, The Deloitte Foundation brings the organisation’s purpose to life by contributing to initiatives which promote education, positive societal impact, sustainable use of natural resources and environment, and culture preservation. All projects supported by the Deloitte Foundation are centered around four main pillars:
Quality education: projects are selected whose purpose is to provide an enriching educational experience. Furthermore, it supports and promotes initiatives integral to WorldClass, Deloitte’s global corporate responsibility strategy aims to prepare 50 million futures by 2030.
In order to support the St Jeanne Antide Foundation’s efforts in helping underprivileged families, The Deloitte Foundation purchased new laptops in December 2020 to be given to children whose families are supported by the Foundation, enabling them to access online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Societal impact: projects are selected that promote human development, healthier lifestyles, animal welfare, and initiatives run by organisations whose purpose is to safeguard society.
To this end, the Deloitte Foundation had the pleasure of collaborating with the St Jeanne Antide by donating a cash donation in August 2020 and a substantial supply of food products in May 2021 in order to help struggling families and individuals with their everyday needs.
Environmental Sustainability: As a leading professional services firm, Deloitte has a significant responsibility to care for the planet. Whilst exemplifying its obligations through internal sustainability initiatives, The Deloitte Foundation commits to promoting environmental sustainability across all our spheres of influence. Deloitte’s WorldClimate commitment aims at achieving net zero by 2030 – from reducing business travel to empowering the Deloitte network to make positive choices for the environment.
Cultural heritage: Culture fosters community pride and creates a sense of belonging. Maltese folklore, traditions, language, historical sites, monuments and public spaces in villages and towns provide a focus for social and economic activity and a vibrant cultural identity. The Deloitte Foundation supports organisations and initiatives whose purpose is to safeguard and enhance the value of culture and heritage. Deloitte has always put the talent of their people to good use, knowing that their knowledge and skills can make a difference. The Foundation believes that it can make an impact on society, and the organisations it supports.
This is why it has been an absolute pleasure for The Deloitte Foundation to be able to help and support the noble work of the St Jeanne Antide which strives hard to do its utmost to foster a better community and enhanced wellbeing for families in distress.
