Association International Women Malta (AIWM) - A Beacon of Support for St Jeanne Antide Foundation
For over a decade, the bond between St Jeanne Antide Foundation (SJAF) and the Association International Women Malta (AIWM) has blossomed into a profound partnership, enriched by a shared vision of enhancing lives in Malta. This collaboration was initiated around 14 years ago, thanks to the insightful recommendation of Jo Rizzo, an AIWM member and a dedicated volunteer at SJAF.
Since then, AIWM's unwavering commitment has bolstered various SJAF programmes, particularly the pivotal SOAR programme. The AIWM's generous contributions have exceeded €15,000, a testament to their dedication to social welfare.
AIWM's mission resonates with the spirit of unity and diversity. It brings together women from diverse backgrounds and nationalities to celebrate cultural richness and forge a strong network of support and friendship. This sense of camaraderie extends to their philanthropic endeavours, as they continuously raise funds to aid local Maltese charities. AIWM (VO/0325) proudly stands with 175 members from over 25 countries. Governed by a board of up to 10 members, each bringing unique skills and roles, AIWM is a paragon of effective and compassionate leadership. Their cumulative efforts have seen nearly €200,000 donated to Maltese charities, primarily focusing on bettering the lives of women and children.
AIWM's fundraising strategies are as diverse as their membership. From membership fees, raffles, and donations to sponsorship letters and supplies drives, every effort is directed towards making a significant impact. The International Christmas Fair, their flagship event, exemplifies their commitment to bringing joy and aid to those in need.
As AIWM steps into its 55th year in June 2024, which will be celebrated with a grand Gala Dinner, it continues to be a source of inspiration and learning for making the most of life in Malta. Their active presence on social media, coupled with a monthly newsletter, keeps the community engaged and informed.
As AIWM approach this significant milestone, St Jeanne Antide Foundation eagerly looks forward to celebrating alongside the Association International Women Malta. This celebration is about marking years of existence and cherishing and reinforcing a partnership that has flourished through shared goals and mutual dedication. Together, we strive to make meaningful differences in the lives we touch, reinforcing our commitment to the community and nurturing this bond that stands as a beacon of hope and solidarity.
