In 2018, the SOAR service won the EPALE Malta award in the Adult Learning Project category for the work it carried out in the area of informal and non-formal learning with survivors of domestic violence.

​In 2016, SJAF was awarded the Social Impact Awards for its project - Dar Hosea walk in centre for prostituted women. The Social Impact Awards initiative for Malta being organised by The  Inspirasia Foundation and The Gasan Foundation.

In 2016, the Lwien Service won the EPALE Malta awards for Innovative Learning Project. Non-formal education is one of the key pillars of the Foundation. Different approaches are used to enthuse and motivate service users to move forward in their lifelong learning journey. Whatever one’s life circumstances and difficulties that cause distress and pain, each SJAF service strives to enable service users to open up to learn important life lessons. The EPALE Awards Malta are organised by the Directorate Lifelong Learning of the Ministry of Education and Employment.
