Today, we are filled with immense gratitude as we express our deepest thanks to The Alfred Mizzi Foundation for their incredible support of the St Jeanne Antide Foundation's SOAR Survivors Hub project. 🏠 Their unwavering commitment to our cause shines brightly through their generous coverage of the Project Manager's remuneration fees!
🏗️ The SOAR Hub Project 🏗️
Our vision is taking shape as we embark on transforming an aging townhouse into something extraordinary – a national hub that will serve as the heart of the SOAR community. This historic house will soon be reborn as a sanctuary for broken families, offering them a safe haven to rebuild their lives after the harrowing experience of domestic abuse. Our goal is to empower them to pick up the pieces, avoid abusive relationships, and break the cycle of violence for good. 💪
Once completed, it will be a space dedicated to our existing and future initiatives, and it will be truly unique as it will be run by survivors, for survivors. Our survivor-led approach is aimed at providing a holistic support system. This house will be where different marginalised groups can come together, receive psycho-social education, and heal through a comprehensive approach. 🌈 We are also excited to welcome professionals who will offer therapeutic interventions to aid survivors and their children in their journey towards recovery. 💆♀️💆♂️
Furthermore, we're fostering permaculture and entrepreneurship projects to make this house self-sustainable, ensuring its lasting impact. 🌿💼

Our Project Manager plays a crucial role in bringing this dream to life. They are the guiding force behind the scenes, orchestrating all the renovation and construction processes to ensure that our project stays on track, within budget, and, most importantly, on time.
🌟 About SOAR Service 🌟
SOAR has been a beacon of hope since 2012. As a national service, it stands uniquely empowered by being managed by survivors of domestic violence themselves. Supported, mentored, trained, and ultimately employed survivors extend their hands as Peer Mentors to many others courageously walking the path to rebuilding their lives and those of their children. Despite the odds, SOAR members discover solace, sisterhood, lasting friendships, and a sense of purpose through volunteering and participation in various social solidarity initiatives, including a groundbreaking social enterprise startup.

We were honoured to host a member of The Alfred Mizzi Foundation board at our hub, along with our dedicated Project Manager. Together, we envision a violence-free future for children who have already been exposed to traumatic episodes.
